Effect of Mercury on various rashi and houses.

Most of the time many of us would have heard from the people saying both the education and money does not come to person. That is Saraswathi and Lakshmi does not come to one person, in other words if the person has education he will not have money if money he will not have education.  This is not 100% true, of course both comes to a person but the education comes first after that the money follows. There are many people live happily with all comforts only through the education that they have.

Aries: 
In Aries Sun is exalted and it is the own house for Mars. Mercury in Aries yields good results to the native. The native wants everything in a faster manner; the parents will complain that the child is adamant in nature. The native will be highly creative and good in education, compete very well. Usually such a native is found to be excellent in quiz like competitions.

Taurus: 
Here the Moon gets exalted, and for Venus this is the own house. This child is loved by the parents because she/he will be highly patient, conservative and has concentration. But on the other side they will not have a good decision-making, thinking abilities and they will not reconsider their decision from the decisions they made.

Gemini: 
Gemini is the own house for the Mercury; the people with Mercury in Gemini are usually good in Mathematics, languages and in computers. They will have all the qualities of the Mercury inherited, convince very well the opponent, the opponent after talking with him/her will accept the donkey as a horse!. It is better to note that Mercury is acting on Central Nervous System in the body and hence if the Mercury occupies either Gemini or Virgo then the native collapses if involved in too much of mental activities for a long time. Hence it is better to know the limit of him/her.

Cancer:  
Cancer is the own house for Moon and Mars gets debilitated here. Mercury in cancer can be viewed as the inimical house. They are usually intuitive, have higher order of memory, and they can remember anything that they read. This placement is meant only for memory and the analytical power will be very weak. They are affectionate to their mother, their motherland, loyal and patriotic.

Leo: 
In the house of Sun no one gets debilitated and exalted, Mercury becomes authoritative, stubborn and they will have strong will power. Humanity nature of them makes them charismatic in personality. The main drawback is that they do not accept their mistakes. They are proud of their mental ability, the mercury loses the diplomacy to some extent here and that may sometimes get problems from the people with low mental IQ because no fool likes the intelligent person. Usually Mercury in Leo people is found in scientific field and they are considered as the authoritive in their field of education.

Virgo: 
Mercury in Virgo makes the native logical, critical, mathematical, analytical, practical etc. These people are orderly in nature. Successful in education as well as in business and profession. They speak the language with perfect grammar and vocabulary, when they speak people may wonder whether he/she is a professor in language. The drawbacks are they are shy in nature and withdrawn, sometimes lack of confidence is pronounced. But the negative qualities disappear with respect to time and experience. Many lawyers, diplomats and educationists are found with their Mercury at Virgo.

Libra: 
These people are like psychologists, never involve in arguments and balanced in personality. Even if anybody talks rude to them they ignore. Always want a smooth atmosphere. They know what is right and what is wrong. They judge the things and decide themselves regarding any issues. In general this is a smooth arrangement. These people are found as judges.
 
Scorpio: 
Even though the placement of Mercury is very good in Scorpio as far the education is concerned if  conjuncts with Mars in Scorpio then it is very good. In general these are secretive people and they can find out others secrets but they live a secretive life. The qualities of Mars like arguing tendencies will be more seen. Break in the education is seen many a times. 

Sagittarius: 
Among the houses of Jupiter, Mercury in Sagittarius seems to be okay than in Pisces. The children with Mercury in Sagittarius are very good students, they listen very well in the classroom. Philosophy, Psychology, cultures and religion related studies would appeal them more and more. Some of these people can be seen as a clinical psychologist if moon is placed along with mercury in Sagittarius. The main drawback is they do not like the people those differ from their views.

Capricorn: 
These people are very good at studies in general once they read they wont forget the facts for ages. They are sociable, traditionalistic, optimistic, dignified and has concentration.   Sometimes pessimism also dominates them.

Aquarius:  
Aquarius Mercury usually has a lot of insights. They are scientific in approach, their ideas are progressive. They are talkative and social, humanistic in approach. The writing and speaking are very easy for them.

Pisces: 
In Pisces Mercury gets debilitated and hence the education can be guaranteed to the native until otherwise there is Neechabanga Raja Yoga is found due to the debility of Mercury. In general any planet with debility gives extremely evil effects and Mercury is no exception to that. These people are found to be good at writing but when asked to speak they feel the butterflies in the stomach. It is found if mercury is retrograde in this sign then it gives benefic results.

Effects of Mercury in houses

Mercury gives good results to the native in the ascendant, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th houses, gives bad results in the 8th and 12th houses as far as the education of a person is concerned. 

1st house: 
In general the planets in the first decide the nature of the native. Mercury in the first house makes the native a learned scholar, he/she will be known for their good character. They will be interested in mathematics; computers, astrology and they love music and philosophy. They talk with humor and intellectual in outlook. Mental restless dominates many times in life, favors from government is guaranteed. They gain more from the information and live like a king.

2nd house: 
The second house denotes the income, education, the way he/she will keep up his/her words etc. The benefic Mercury if posited in the second house the native makes money by commercial means. Money is more likely to flow to them through the professions related to communication like teaching, medical and sales representation, advocation etc. Since the Mercury from here will aspect 6th and 8th houses they will be destroyers of the enemies. Usually criminal lawyers are seen with this arrangements in the native chart.

3rd house:  
Higher education is guaranteed; they will have more sisters and brothers.  This arrangement is not good for the income and health of the father as per Lal Kitab. In the third house the Mercury its strength because third house is his own house. They express themselves well. Depending on the other planetary arrangements in the horoscope the economy of the native should be decided.

4th house: 
Mercury in the fourth house gives higher education to the native. The native can have his/her own vehicles and mother can keep a good health condition. But it should be noted that Mercury should not be placed alone in the fourth house since Mercury can get kendrathipathya dosa, if Kendrathipathya yoga is found then the native will do the job/profession below than his/her dignity.

5th house: 
Mercury in fifth house can make the native as an M.P (Member of Parliament). Certainly the native can have some master’s degree in hand in due course of time. The native will be good at writing and speaking. Such a natives can be seen in the field of teaching, acting depending upon the other planetary position in the natal chart. The native will have many children and these people only always deal with stock market investments very well to their advantage. There will be a gambling and romantic tendency remain with them but they succeed in that. 

6th house: 
Mercury in the sixth house will conquer the enemies; he/she will be involved in works demanding mental and physical skills. Hence such a native will be seen in printing press, computers, electronic devices, agriculture related professions. By education they can opt for the agricultural degrees, computer studies and electronics etc.

7th house:  
The mercury in the seventh house too makes the lawyers but it will be better if not placed alone in this house. They are balanced in their thought processes, clever and articulate very well. They are good in counseling, mediation, etc, which are the process of advocation. Their married life cannot be just like others and hence they should marry the educated. In general Mercury in the seventh house people are found in the departments of Law. Again the Mercury should be placed with malefic planet here or else kendrathipatya yoga occurs.

8th house: 
Except Jupiter and Venus no other planet can give good result to the native in this house. Mercury in the eight house gives disfavors from the governments. Any planet in the eight house aspects the second house and hence the second house also gets weekend. The native gets debts and low bank balance. They should not involve in business since the mercury is having no positive effect in this house. The malefic effects get reduced if it is conjuncted with any other planets; aspected by benefics or it is the house of Mercury. The conjunction with Sun in this house may yield good results. 

9th house:
The ninth house is the house of higher learning like philosophy, law and religion. The native can become a teacher in law. Wealth, name and fame will follow the native. Mercury cannot give the benefit results like Jupiter or Venus, but won’t give the bad results like Ketu and Rahu. 

10th house:
 In the tenth house the Mercury highly benefic results. The native will not have any problem as far as the occupation or profession is concerned he/she will be learned scholar. There will be favors from the government, friends will be beneficial and they know astrology. They are career oriented and get the work done from others. 

11th house: 
The native will be social and knowledgeable. The native may have properties in terms of lands or from business. From here Mercury can aspect the fifth house hence education may go well. 

12th house: 
The mercury in the twelfth house gives extremely bad results. Mercury in the 6th or 12th house is not good for the mother of the native. These people have the lack of memory and which in turn affects his/her education. They take decisions based on feelings and not by logical thinking. They are shy and do not want to speak openly, night sleep of the native will have problems. It is better the see the strength of Moon if Moon do not have power then the native will have mental related problems.      

Education and money

1) The lord of the 2nd and 11th house should have some relations with the lord of the 10th house.

2) The lord of the 8th house should not be posited in the 10th house as well as the lord of the 10th house should not be debilitated. 

3) The lord of the ascendant, lord of the 3rd house, Jupiter all should be exalted.

4) The combination of the ascendant, the lord of the 2nd house or the lord of the 5th house and the lord of the 9th house.

5) The lord of the ascendant should be in Kendra and the lord of the fourth house should be in the Trikona. 

6) The lord of the ascendant and the lord of the 10th house in conjunction should be placed in the Trikona.

7) The presence of Thenu yoga, Sarawathi yoga, Sanga yoga and Anthiyavayashu dhana Yoga in the natal chart. The lord of the ascendant and the lord of the 10th house together should be placed in the Trikona and also should be aspected by the Sanieswara bhagwan.
